She completed her bachelor degrees at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology, On Dokuz Mayıs University in 2010. She started her M.Sc. studies in 2010 at the Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Biology, Mersin University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Süphan Karaytuğ and completed her thesis entitled “The harpacticoid (Crustacea, Copepoda) fauna of the mediolittoral zone of Kara Ada, Tavşan Adası, and Çatal Adası (Bodrum, Turkey)” in 2012. In the same year, she started her PhD studies at the Faculty of Biology of Mersin University. In 2013, she was appointed as a lecturer at Silifke Vocational School of Mersin University. In 2015, she spent one month in Denmark at the University of Copenhagen working with Dr Martin Vinther Sørensen on the taxonomy of Kinorhyncha. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Süphan Karaytuğ, she completed her Ph.D. thesis entitled “Taxonomy, Zoogeography, and Phylogeny of Ameira parvula (Claus, 1866) and Nitocra affinis Gurney, 1927 (Copepoda, Harpacticoida, Ameiridae) Species Complexes” in 2021. In 2022, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Marine Sciences and Technology, Dokuz Eylül University, where she continues her research with a special focus on the systematics of the family Ameiridae (Harpacticoida).
